Internal rules

For convenience, masculine (he/his/him) pronouns may be used when referring to any person in these rules and should be understood to include all genders.

In order to guarantee efficient care and harmonious cohabitation within the clinic, we ask you to respect the following rules:

  1. Anyone present on the premises of the establishment, in any capacity whatsoever, must respect the internal rules, not disturb the care of patients, nor infringe the rules of operation, hygiene or safety.
  2. Any form of verbal or physical violence will not be tolerated. The management will charge for deliberate damage to equipment. The appropriateness of filing a criminal complaint will then be evaluated by the persons involved and possibly the Management
  3. Patients and visitors are not allowed to bring dangerous objects (weapons, knives, self-defence sprays, flammable liquids, etc.) to the Leukerbad Clinic.
  4. Animals are not allowed on the clinic premises except for those used to guide a visually impaired person.
  5. Smoking inside the Clinic is strictly forbidden, including on the balconies of the rooms. In the event of non-compliance with this rule, the Management reserves the right to bill you for cleaning services. Outdoor smoking areas are provided for your convenience.
  6. The consumption of narcotic drugs is strictly prohibited inside the Clinic. Alcoholic beverages can be consumed in our two restaurants. However, we reserve the right to stop serving you alcohol in the event of abuse.
  7. In the event of a fire, raise the alarm by immediately notifying a Leukerbad Clinic employee. Then follow the instructions given by the staff, signs and the basic rules of survival. For your safety and that of all users, lighting candles or incandescent objects inside the Clinic is prohibited.
  8. Photographs are prohibited inside the Clinic as well as around the outdoor swimming pool. Photographs are authorised in our restaurants as long as no patients or employees are photographed without their consent.
  9. The Clinic is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, and until 5:00 p.m. on weekends. Outside of these hours, patients may open the doors using the Legic card given to them at the start of their stay. You also have the option of calling the night porter by pressing the bell next to the entrance doors.
  10. In order to ensure quietness during the night, we ask you not to slam the doors to the rooms and to divert all your calls from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. to your personal voicemail. However, outside calls are allowed at any time.
  11. Patients using electric wheelchairs are asked to store them in places that do not obstruct emergency exits or the movement of people in general.
  12. Inpatient guests may not decide to leave the Clinic for a few days or not sleep in our establishment without the written agreement of the doctor in charge. If a guest wishes to go for a walk outside the perimeter of the Clinic, he/she must inform the nursing staff on the floor with no exceptions.
  13. The Leukerbad Clinic declines all responsibility for any incidents that occur outside its premises.
  14. We thank you for being on time for your therapy sessions. If you arrive late for one of your appointments or cancel it less than 24 hours in advance, the appointment cannot be rescheduled and you will be charged.
  15. During consultations, patients may be accompanied by a maximum of one person. The doctor reserves the right to refuse the presence of the accompanying person.
  16. During treatment, access to the treatment rooms is strictly prohibited for accompanying persons. They will be able to enter the room, if the patient so wishes, once the treatment is finished.
  17. Our physical therapy centre is a therapeutic space reserved exclusively for patients. You may access it according to the schedule with your doctor’s permission and personal instruction with a therapist.
  18. Your room is equipped with a safe where you can store your valuables. We are not responsible for your personal belongings.
  19. For the mutual respect of all patients, proper attire is required in the common areas.

Use of the outdoor and indoor swimming pools is subject to specific rules. Please refer to them.

If you violate these rules or fail to comply with the corresponding instructions, your doctor and/or the Clinic’s management reserves the right to interrupt your stay. If necessary, you will be charged for any damage caused by these actions.

You may request a copy of these rules at reception. The terms and conditions therein are considered accepted as soon as you begin your stay at the Clinic.
